Bushi Series — Standard Class

The bushi was the professional. Not a conscript handed a helmet before a campaign, and not a lord whose armor was a statement of rank — a career warrior whose equipment had to work and last, because his life was organised around it.

The Bushi Series is our main line and the class most customers end up choosing. Carbon steel replaces cold-rolled. Lacquer is applied in layers rather than sprayed. Lacing moves to a silk blend, which changes both how the suit looks and how it ages. Fittings are brass or copper rather than plated.

Every set is handcrafted to order and delivered in about four weeks. That is the number worth holding onto: a Japanese armory quotes four to sixteen weeks for comparable work, and three to six months for a named warlord reproduction. We publish full measured dimensions on every listing — chest range, height range, helmet circumference, total weight — so you can check the fit before you order rather than after.

What you are buying is a well-made reproduction that arrives quickly, not a bespoke commission. We think that trade is the right one for most people: a suit in your hands next month beats a perfect one next year.

Typical delivery: about four weeks. Custom sizing adds roughly four weeks. Intended use: display, ceremony, cosplay, photography, and respectful non-contact wear.
