Oda Nobunaga Samurai Armor — Black Lacquer, Full Life-Size Set
The standard Oda Nobunaga set, and the one most people are actually picturing: black lacquer throughout, blue lacing, a tall forked crest at the brow, and none of the gilt of the premium configuration.
Nobunaga's reputation rests on impatience. He adopted matchlock firearms in volume when older houses still considered them dishonourable, and at Nagashino in 1575 he used them to destroy the Takeda cavalry that had been the most feared force in the country. He was dead seven years later, betrayed by his own general.
Black-lacquered plate, blue lacing across the skirt and sleeves, white horsehair at the neck. This is the working version of a famous man's armor rather than the ceremonial one.
