Sanada Daisuke Samurai Armor — Red and Black, Full Life-Size Set

$5,890.00 USD

Sanada Daisuke was thirteen years old at the siege of Osaka. He was Yukimura's eldest son, he fought in the final battle in 1615, and when the castle fell he died with the Toyotomi heir he had been sent to protect. The Sanada line at Osaka ended with him.

He wears his father's colours because that was the point — the Sanada contingent was identified by red, and a boy in red beside a man in red was one unit rather than two people.

Red lacquered cuirass over black plate at the sleeves and skirt, red lacing throughout, and the rokumonsen six-coin crest at the helmet. It is built to the same scale as the adult sets; the name marks who it honours, not who it fits.

What you receive

  • Kabuto with six-coin crest and laced shikoro
  • Menpō face mask, red lacquered interior
  • Red lacquered dō (cuirass) with kusazuri skirt panels
  • Sode, kote, haidate and suneate
  • Black lacquered storage box that doubles as a display stand
